Lafayette Chapter - SLFCPUG Meeting Details

We normally meet on the last Thursday of each month. We're gaining new members at every meeting. This shows there are a growing number of FCP users in south Louisiana, or as it's now known, "Hollywood South". Come back soon for more updates!

June Meeting Recap
A had another good meeting, with great conversation and information!
* Bobby Holbrook set up and gave us a hands on demo of the Panasonic AJ-HPX2000 P2 camera system, and we saw some sample footage from it edited in Final Cut Pro.
* Apple Trainer Ben Balser demo'ed and discussed with members the pros and cons of editing HDV native vs. AIC or Pro Res. Lots of great questions, lots of great info.
* Members were also briefed on upcoming events and trainings that will be very valuable to Final Cut users in July.
* And our regular PeachPit Press and Noise Industry raffle prizes, along with some great other software prizes such as Roxio's "Popcorn!" and and JoeSoft's "Hear".

July Meeting Preview
* We start 6pm with a social period, general announcement.
* We'll show some member videos. If you have one to show, please let us know in advanced to schdule it.
* Ben Balser will give a tutorial session on Time Remap tools and workflow in Final Cut Pro.
* And a possible super special "event" announcement...
* We end with a $1/ticket raffle of some cool software and a couple of good books.
